Kids magazines from Cobblestone Publishing engage children in history and world culture. Cobblestone periodicals present award winning, non-fiction information on history and the sciences for children. History lessons become fun when using kids magazines for a resource. Children learn how our nation was developed and the events that transpired to make us the country we are today. All this is gained through reading interesting and engaging articles filled with rich text and detailed photographs. Cobblestone periodicals generally are dedicated to one theme per issue and are done in full color. Within each issue is an extensive set of non-fiction articles detailing the event in language a child is able to understand. Our kids magazines are used throughout school libraries and classrooms as a resource for the social studies and science programs. Each issue centers on a theme involving world events. Each fifty-two page full color issue features articles to broaden a child's perspective and understanding of a particular theme. Maps, timelines, meaningful illustrations, and art from museums enrich each issue of Callipoe. No two issues are alike. Readers contribute their own poetry, illustrations and letters to upcoming issues. The chronological format of Calliope allows teachers to make use to the publication as a supplement to their world history curriculum. Many of the articles in Calliope publications are written by experts in the field who are involved in the current and up-to-date research on the topic.
