This year's theme is "Flower Power"

The 19th annual Children and the Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 in downtown Peterborough. A year of planning and great community cooperation culminates in this all-day event, where the streets will be closed to vehicular traffic and filled instead with song, laughter, parading Giant Puppets, food, fun, dancing, chalk art, the Art Walk, and something for everyone who loves art and children.  Our schools, businesses, organizations, and families come together to create this very special day and it attracts children and their families from throughout the Monadnock region and beyond.

Within this web site, we'll be sharing our history and our future, in the hopes that other communities can benefit from our experiences and bring to their towns and their children the excitement and joys of the arts.
